Will it swap as long as I have the fender extensions and lower valance?

I searched about 400+ threads, and plenty of info on the front end swap, but nothing on the rear.

Thanks.

you have to change the entire front end.. to do the rear like an earlier dart you have to clip it.

cyberbackpacker,

Go to www.moparts.com and post the question there. There is a (female) member who's husband did something similar. I do not remember what year his (white) Swinger is, but this operation sounds familiar.

We did the same swap as you on my sons 75 valiant to make it look as a 72. The entire rear section with the bumper support braces have to been used from the 70-72 model. Here are a few pics. This one is of the finished car. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd145/ray79rt/72swinger.jpg
These are of the car cut up during the swap. We did not drill the spot welds because the donor car had rust in that area so we cut an inch or so from the edge and butt welded. The extensions hide almost all of the cuts except for were we cut it across the trunk opening at the top. We also replaced the truck floor at the same time. It is not a bolt on job but we did a good job and I am not a pro body guy. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/dd145/ray79rt/100_0714.jpg

The trunks are the same and the rear quarters are too. Hope this helps. It will sure make your car look awesome in my opinion!!

ps: I still can not believe we salaged that rear valance, that was more work than swapping the tail section.

Thanks for the help everyone; I thought I was clear in my post, but after re-reading it I realized I wasn't. All of the info on the front swap I had, I was specifically looking for info on transplanting the rear bumper.

Thanks for all the info though, it is always good to have.
