Have you checked the numbers elsewhere on the body? Looks like a "possible" VIN swap or "rebody" I'd be interested in the car if its legit, but theres a BUNCH of red flags here
Well the dash vin # is the same the core support has no numbers on it don’t look like it has been changed

What are the red flags the call it a ‘71? Enlighten those of us that are interested in this car.

All I know is it has a title and a fender tag that match and it looks like the radiator support is original to the car and I know it was built in April but even the trim along the bottom of the car says 71 to me but the paperwork says 70 so if you or anyone wants it I am in holiday Florida come and get it $4800 rolls it on your trailer

If interested i Got a purple 1972 duster /6 driver...everything bout rebuilt besides some suspension pieces..ball joint, brakes adjusted...would need $2k to boot also...also got a 1971 Demon with 400/727/8.75...I'm in SC

So are there ANY other numbers you have found on the car BESIDES the vin plate and fender tag?

VIN might be on pass side trunk lip about where the tail stripe would run. Under where the weatherstrip is.

Although the rocker trim is common on 1971, I think it unlikely that there is a problem with it being a 1970. The pics certainly bear out the original paint and interior colors, and FT6 was introduced in 1970, and not available in 1971.

maybe 1 out of a million just loved the 71' trim so much they just had to put it on their 70'. stranger things have happened.

another way to check is the 4 vent tubes on the side of the fuel tank and the vertical vent tube in the trunk or a hole in the trunk extension for a vent tube to mount to. all the pictures are so close up its not easy to tell anything really.

the trunk gutter looks like there is some rot there so a VIN may be illegible there.

How do you explain the lack of holes for the "swinger" emblems on the 1/4 panels? That's 70 only. Also this car has the emblems on the fender, that's 71 up. If its really a 70, that side trim is mounted with studs, 71 up is double sided tape. Everything points to the TITLE and FENDER tag from a 70, but so far no confirmation of those numbers on THIS body

I'm about tired of waiting to see the body numbers, I am officially out, I am NOT interested anymore at this point
