that's a bummer , wish i had the $$$ id be on a roadtrip headed ur way.....not that i need another project
You're an idiot.
Amen to that! :wack:
wish i was closer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So let me get this straight. You have a numbers matching '71 TRUE 340 Demon that could have been sold at least three times...but it will now be cut up for parts??? I'm at a loss for words here. That's another 340 car gone...but it's your car. I have a '72 that is FAR worse than this. Will be reborn someday...
Why the hell would you cut it up for parts? Lots of people have responded to the ad that appear to be serious about buying the car whole and restoring it. I can't figure out some people.
XS10 FOR REAL look at these responses !!!! surely one of these guys would have bought it... whats REALLY going on here lol?
Something doesn't seem right about the whole deal.
You tell Me whats the MATTer with you people!! I have an originall 71 340 demon with matching # listed for 3500.00 . thats cheap!! and No BUYERS, who the Idiot's!!!!, franko
Yes it is a good deal. But didn't a whole bunch of members ask for your contact info? Some more than once. It would be sad to see this car dismantled. It looks like a real nice place to start. I know it's a better deal than I started with. Hope you sell it.
For what ever reason I dont think the replies are being recieved...or....Maybe he's checking Email instead of PM's onsite ???
asking and buying are 2 different things.......
I have a car for sale on this forum too. There have been half a dozen PM's but as Cuba Gooding Jr said, "Show me the money!" I realize times are tough all over and I'm in no big hurry. But if you need to get rid of a car now, you gotta do what you gotta do. As sad as it is, the car (in its present condition) is probably worth more parted out. However, if you've ever parted a car out before, you know what a pain the the rear it is. No winners here.
Yeah, $3500 is not a bad price. Especially if it is solid- dunno what happened to the potential buyers, but if it hasn't sold and he needs the money, well- I am not for him cutting up the car- but I know he can make more that way. Always amazes me when stuff like this comes up and people buy worse cars for the same money, even less money due to 'shipping.' Well, fixing up a completely crapped out rust bucket will be more in cash, effort, and frustration than shipping a much more solid car back to whatever part of the rustbelt the person lives in. Just saying...
Franko, I'd hate to see you take this one apart. I sent you a PM with all of my contact info. Please contact me so we can discuss your car. I would like some pictures of all four corners, under hood, interior, underneath as best as possible, and vin tag, fender tag, and at least written down motor numbers. I don't suppose you checked under the rear seat for a build sheet did you? We should be able to make this happen with just a little effort, I'll wait for your response.
I'm still interested in the car FrankO. It's been nearly a full day now since I PM'd you with no response yet, I think maybe you're taking a long holiday weekend or something. I hope you're having fun. Please let me know as soon as you can if your car is still for sale or not and when we might be able to discuss it.
I need to hear from you pretty soon if your car is still for sale. I'm looking at a couple other options and probably won't wait a whole lot longer to talk to you. Thanks, Let me know
