72 scamp heater/AC box questions

HI all,

I have a couple questions for you guys. First of all what is the silver box shown below and second do these blue wires go to it?

I have the A and B schematics but that didn't seem to help me. :???::???:

That is the thermostatic switch for the AC ...if no there are no wires attached the AC will not work. Attach the blue wires and if the AC clutch engages everything is right.

Thanks. I will give a try this weekend if i can find some time. They seem like they should go there just because of proximity to the switch.
