727 Transmission

For the guys in Southern Ontario. I'm going to build my 360 this winter and while I'm at I may as well replace my 904 with a 727. Anyone have one or a core they want to sell? Please PM me.

Why not just build the 904? It's lighter and uses less HP. Plus you won't have to round up the conversion parts.

I agree with everyone else. Definitely keep the 904. I use one in my mid 10 second 340 Demon NHRA stocker. Check my avatar on the left. Why give up the horsepower. The 904 is plenty strong and as Cudamark said, why go through the hassles of changing linkages, driveshaft, convertor and flexplate.

I would rather have a 727 any day, or a 518 for the extra gear but they don't fit in all mopars

Thanks guys, I picked up a 727 today and as I said better to have one than not even if I decide to do as you guys say and build the 904.
