About the only thing you "might" have to do is flatten the pinch weld in the tunnel. Some of them don't even require that, due to the wide tolerances these cars were assembled using. None of them are really exactly the same, so basically you're just going to have to "find out".

I have a 318 and a 727 out of my 74 satellite and I plan on upgrading it to a big block.
