73' B3 340 Duster pro touring build

After seeing your motor, that's surprising. Not that you wished you knew
how to use Photoshop, but that $800.00 was out of your price range!

Exactly...I spent it all on the motor so now I don't have anymore, not to mention I still owe for the painter a large lump of cash.

I showed dad the pics of Bob's Dart...he laughed when I told him he wants to be driving it this summer, hope he's not relying on a body guy to be fast.

Bob seemed pretty serious about being done by summer. Maybe driving
it doesn't include finish painting it. It looked like it could go to the body
shop after a couple of months to hang the 'glass, wire it and clean it up.
He could build his motor in the meantime or maybe it's already built. Is Rod
building it?

He seems to have a plan and if he's retired, he may be working on it every
day.

So, all in all it is possible......isn't it?.......ISN'T IT?

Besides, Denny always says that on TV they build the whole car in 3-4 days.

Rod's not building the motor, he has about 6-8 motors lined up to build, mine is at the top of the list, once I get the mounts welded on my HDK (this week) I'll be taking it to his shop.
Bob's not retired, he works in a machine shop with the guy Rod shares the engine shop and Race Car with but your right anything is possible. I cant wait to see that Dart running around the local hot spots.

I'm surprised as and computer savy as you are that your not a photoshop person......
I would love it but it's an expensive program you have to buy (NOT freeware).

Besides, I doubt that all of you guys want your heads transposed onto beach
bimbos and farm animals.

Sorry you guys but Somma would be first unless you have a nearbye
source for farm animal pics. Oops. I guess Ross is first.

I always got picked last for dodgeball too but it was ok after I figured
out that dodgeball was not associated in any way with Chrysler Corp.

I was gonna say didn't you see the Horses, Cows, Donkey's, Geese and don't forget the stray Goat dad found a few months back ? Although I really don't think it's a honor to be picked first for this.

Yup. Rod's menagerie was out in full force when we arrived yesterday.

I especially liked the matching Donkeys. I couldn't help but notice that
the animals all got kind of a worried look when they spotted Denny.

To be picked first? It's an honor. Take my word for it.

I made another set of motor mount K frame brackets due to some final fitment issues, basically I had a had a brain fart when I made the other set of brackets for the mock up..... but Denny helped me see the error of my ways when he dropped off my new HDK over the weekend. Now that the 9/16" attachment bolt slides thru like butter it's time to ship it off to the local Powder Coating shop for a nice Satin Black long lasting finish.

Yes, I love it...... :thumblef:

It is clear to see in Ross's K-frame pics above how this special
version of the HDK has the side rails raised in relation to the
mounting pads so as to raise the powertrain and thus lower
the car. Ross has cut and raised the tunnel in the unit body
to accomodate this radical mod.

the primary reason for raising the rails is for tie rod clearance since everything else is raised ..... all at NO ADDITIONAL cost from HDK

while Ross's doesn't utilize them, HDK motor perches combined with HDK/Schumaker ploy-spool motor mounts for ALL the popular Mopar powerplants are available and interchangeable

sorry for the self-serving promo....but it is a FAQ via privite message and e-mail
