74 Dodge Dart custom 4 door..72,666 original miles!

318 2bbl, ps, manual brakes with disc on front. I will first tell you what it needs as of now. The radiator needs to be re-cored, or get a new one at 1Aauto.com for $196.00 shipped to your door. The rear driver side quarter needs to be cut and replaced. I have this and will go with car. Keep in mind; this is not a full quarter it is only what is needed. The front driver side fender dog leg is in need of repair, and can be repaired by the right person. There is a small dent in front pass side fender and is a very easy fix. There is a dent in the rocker on pass side, again an easy fix. This car is VERY clean!

ALMOST FOR GOT 1 THING...I SHORTED OUT THE ALT GAUGE, THIS WILL NEED TO BE REPAIRED OR REPLACED.

Now what has been done to it........

Complete tune up with Mopar performance wires, NGK plugs, cap and rotor and a new fuel filter. The 2bbl was just rebuilt by Dependable carburetor in Chicago (35th & wood) and they did a damn fine job. I have installed a new ignition switch, starter, water pump, thermostat, hoses, belts and shocks. I also installed a grant GT wheel. I have the original wheel that goes with the car.

I have a set of vintage 14" western rims with almost new tires on them. These DO NOT come with the car.....MAKE OFFER FOR THESE!

Too bad it was not a beater. Really need a cheapo Dart but this one is a little nicer than I have the bucks for. Too bad as I am two counties over to the north and know Beecher only too well. Good luck, I will pass the word.

Chaz, listen to GTX......Lets work out a deal! I have over $1500 into this car, and all it needs is a radiator to get it back on the road. The motor is strong with no knocks, no smoke just a true 318 mopar motor! I am open for trades as I noted in the listing. Make an offer, we'll go from there. I could trade away my snapper riding mower . Lord knows we dont get enough rain to need the thing. If I leave out Saturday morn it might get me there by Christmas. :sign5:
Seriously though, If I could get on a bus come get it and drive it home, I might. Your location is centered enough that guys all over the states might be willing to drive it home.
The nicest roadside emergancy kit Walmart sells is about 35.00 and can be bought there in IL (a must have IMO) but... very few will be willing to bring a radiater along on the bus.
I'd love to have because I know they are great cars. My 73 has over 300 thousand miles on it , and counting !
Sadly , the wife has only worked 3 weeks in the past 3 months, so money is tight here. Same everywhere (I watch the news).
If I were in your shoes I'd put a radiater in it and make it drive. Then my position would be, "I'll stick a mower deck under it before I take less than 1000.00"
I know putting more money in it to try and sell it seems stupid but believe me, car lots do this every day. I've seen it pay off too.
