sublimegreendart Member Joined Apr 24, 2012 Messages 5 Reaction score 0 Location Victoria May 12, 2012 #1 i got a 8 3//4 got new axles from moser, switched over the backing plates from my 8 1/4, all new brakes, put it all together and the brakes were grinding on the inside lip of the drum. Any ideas why this would be happening?

Measure the braking surface in the drum and then the shoe. If you see wear all the way to the inside edge, that would be my guess.
