Interested, but what brand is it and what case is it for?

...and why does it say 3.91 on the box?

I'm also interested, but I have the same questions as the others. Please confirm the ratio and what case it fits.

Looks like a 741 application. No step feature used on the 742 and no taper as used on the 489. At least from what I can see from the pics.

The numbers on the gear is info you can research and determine who manufactured them for the factory in 1969.

Be a lot easier if the seller had a less confusing and provided more info and better pictures....
The item: Factory ring and pinion gear. 3:91 ratio
Fits a 741 case. 1 3/8" pinion shaft (straight shaft)
Shows no wear on the gears.
I had a set of 3:55 ratio gears to replace the 3:91.
Where I live, "Interstate" I-35 is 75 MPH (miles per hour) Most run at 85 MPH. So, the 3:91 is a bit too low.
$125.00 plus shipping charges. USPS only.

Interested in 3.55.

Mistakenly thought OP was listing 3.55 from the text.

Glad that's been cleared up.

Please continue without quoting me.

Thanks.
