8.75 gear ratios

What is the highest ratio for the 8.75

I have read in Mopar Muscle that they made a 2.5 somthing gear set for gas milage. most places say that they only went to a 2.76.

If thy made a 2.5 ? what did thy come in?

Never heard of 2.5, I have 2 rears that came from the factory with 2.76.

According to the Mopar Chassis book, the 8 1/4" had a 2.45 gear option but the highest for an 8 3/4 is 2.76.

Just for an FYI, that 2.45:1 would be a 1.79:1 with the A833 OD. lol

If they made a 2.45 gear ratio in the 8 1/4 do you have any idea of what vehicles they came in?

I had one out of a 73-76 A Body at one time. They aren't super unusual.
