Hello, in my Dart I have a 360 mated to a 904 lock-up tranny. The torque converter though has a stripped hole for one of the flex plate bolts. Are there any remedies to this that dont involve buying a new TQ? And also for the time being should I not start the car? I dont know if it would throw the balance off enough to harm the engine. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks!
Cody

Starting and letting idle to charge the battery is OK, otherwise, let it sit.
Is it possible to heli coil the thread hole or go the next size larger on that one and the one across from it to help keep the balance?

Well its not impossible, but its very difficult only due to the fact I live in an apartment and cant really put the car on jackstands to get under it. Would a quick tac weld hold it long enough to get to a shop or someones garage?

Skip the tac weld and just ease it down the road to a repair shop for this since you don't have room.
