904 trans identification

Picked up this 904 last night, seller didnt know anything about it, wanting to buy a performance full rebuild kit so i need to know the year range.

Thanks guys! Will that converter work with a stock spec 360 magnum?

I believe it would.... BTW, keep converter with trans....they are made to work together, meaning you cant mix those parts with other trannies. A lockup converter goes with a lockup trans (and vb).

from what i read today it Looks like all i need to run it is a weighted magnum flexplate.

Hey Wes,

can you please count the splines on the input shaft for me? Curious about the spline count on a lock up input shaft.

Should be 26, and the splines are not cut all the way out to the end.
HTH
