[WANTED] 904 Transmission pan that's not deep WITH a drain plug

clean the inside but i wouldn't paint it.. if the paint happens to flake off for some reason it ends up clogging the filter.

If you are going to use that pan with the filter in the pan (rather than the inline filter) make sure the pan is deep enough. It doesn't look like it has the circular depression that is used to clear the filter.

Never have seen an inline filter. What's that look like? I imagined the filter height could fit this pan. It seems the more I read about this pan, the more it may not work in my 65 Valiant. Seemed like such a great idea.

On the slant 6 it's in the cooler line above the left motor mount and it has a mounting bracket for the filter. I think they did away with the external filter by 65.

I think 63 was the last year for the external filter. Might be 62.

Adding a material to the inside is never a good idea, nothing to gain and a heck of a lot to lose.
