Can an OD shifter from a truck be modified ( mounting plate / shifter handle ) to work on an A-body od transmission?

It's just metal; nothing a saw, a torch, and a welder, can't handle.

It'll bolt right on it. It's a Hurst shifter, right? You do have to have the A body shifter adapter. It's a kinda diamond shaped hunk of aluminum.

You'll probably need some different linkage, but I'd sure try them first.
