Heya guys. I'm going to put a/c in my 65' Barracuda and saw this kit: http://www.classicautoair.com/67_69_Mopar A-Body_Air_Conditioning_Mopar_AC.html

I see though that it says it's a direct fit for a 67-69, and I can't seem to find a kit from the big-two for a 65' A-Body. Would I have any trouble with fitting this kit in my 65', or has anyone anyone used this kit in your earlier A that can maybe give me a heads up on any problems I may encounter? Thanks for the help!

I am adding AC to my Dart GT 'vert and Barracuda (both 65's) and am using all the factory under dash units as well as all the under hood stuff since I know it all fits and there won't be any rigging to do. If you go that route, be advised the hardest stuff to find is the heater/AC bezel for either one.

X2 on factory, I'm doing the same for my 66 dart (1 year only bezel too!) A little but more work. It's easier for me to make the compressor mount (a Sanden 508 which I do have) to put a later model (or get it from one of the users on here that makes the new model conversion mount) on mine than find a good V2 compressor and mount with the idler that's still good. yep A/C bezels are hard to find for All 1 year model cars.
here's mine so far with only minor screwups in the blower motor area (as a kid I had problems coloring within the lines and as an adult I still can't:D) I do have a friend with a cnc machine that I'll give the specs to the blower motor hole and have hin cut out a beauty ring to fix my oops there.

65Dartman saved my bacon by sending me a template that was dead on. well that is if I 'd have flattened it out first and tested in on the actual setup. that's how I ended up with the oops in the blower motor area (my BAD)

still have to drill 1 hole for the exit lines that go to the water valve and vacuum source. but it is all in at this time.
