Hey guys. So this is a start up of my newly rebuilt 360. New Cam, pistons, intake, etc. etc. This is a few days after cam break in was completed. Had no problems before. You'll notice some noise right about when I get up close to the engine with the camera. Does anyone have any idea where that is coming from?? Any help would be great! Thanks

Is your fan hitting the top of your rad?Remove the belt and try it.It could also be your rockers hitting inside your valve covers.good luck.

Spin your fan by hand and watch where it,s hitting.A smaller spacer is needed.

Or a windage tray being hit by the rods !

While a possible item, I think it sounds like the fan is hitting the rad due to the tin-ish sound and it sounds like it is outside of the engine, like, it is right there.

Is that fan bent?

yes, pull dip stick, you should have metallic dust in it if held to light or sun.

the rad would be shinny where the fan would be hitting if so, as well as shinny fan blades

yo can also pull covers to check for loose push rods just incase you're concerned about the lifers going away.

Ok, so I just got a chance to take a look at everything and sure enough my flex plate bolts sheared off! Why the heck would that happen? I think the plate could have been bent a little, would that do it?
