Looks like AM radio search tune...According to the fender tag it was a 273 2 barrel car with a 4 speed transmission. I don't know what the 4 under the R would mean.
Commando is a Plymouth name, not Dodge which used Charger...So sorry everyone there is a such thing as a 1966 Commando Dart. Got one from new.
Only if the line ran out of Charger 273 lids and used some leftover Commando lids... SNAFU rather than standard practice. So sorry everyone there is a such thing as a 1966 Commando Dart. Got one from new.
60 years.Who knows what could have been changed (or added) in the last 50 years. .
It has ten inch front drums and a 7.25 rearCool car, looks like factory sway bar, did it come with disc brakes and 8.75 rear?

So the car has been sitting since 1990, it got towed in 1988 and a guy who worked in the tow yard got it and a parked it since 1990.Who knows what could have been changed (or added) in the last 50 years. .
Did that one also go 165 mph @6500 rpm in 4th and still pulling with hydraulic lifters and a points dizzy all stock ?So sorry everyone there is a such thing as a 1966 Commando Dart. Got one from new.
Yes, including the fender tag . Did I miss it or hasn't it been confirmed that tag went with that car ?Who knows what could have been changed (or added) in the last 50 years. .
My 65 (3rd owner) came with a Commando air cleaner as well. Dad was the second owner and asked about it when he bought it in 75. Guy said it came that way when he bought it off the lot in Orem UT.Only if the line ran out of Charger 273 lids and used some leftover Commando lids... SNAFU rather than standard practice.
