I'm going to be installing a Vintage Air system in my '70 Barracuda and of course they don't have anything for the slant six, so I had to do a little bit of digging and research. Just in case anybody goes into this rabbit hole like I just did, Bouchillon Engineering makes an aftermarket compressor bracket. This works for power steering cars, if you do not have a power steering car then the kit can still work as long as you have or get a power steering crank pulley as well. Make sure to call and talk to Randy first, non power steering cars require a couple of extras. There is also a specific compressor that works better that he also carries.

Big shout out to Charlie S for helping me in this endeavor and figuring things out.

BPE A/C Compressor Mounting Bracket Kit Slant 6 - Bouchillon Performance Engineering

Maybe this info is already out there somewhere, I tried searching but couldn't really find anything and had a hard time finding that bracket, so hopefully this will help somebody else in the future.

Pics for posterity. I know it's not an A body, but not many places to get good Slant six info, so here I am.

I called them, as I remember their ad "the only one they don't manufacture them self" as they "apologize" for the crazy cost...and that once those they have for the /6 are gone, they're gone. Also for a set for a small block in a truck in which I wanted to add ac to but use a stock factory AC compressor as used thru the 80s and whether his brackets would work.... All he could do was to blast the C171 compressor as some kind of a piece of crap. My issue is having new stock factory style replacement lines which we all know won't work with an aftermarket style compressor. Ive not had good luck with custom ac lines "not" leaking. I have 2 80s trucks here that I'm adding ac to. One /6 and one small block.
I lucked out at the local junkyard when a 79 volare with a /6 and factory air showed up, I went and swiped all the ac brackets from that.
