Today I was checking out my new 4295S AFB core and decided to check one of my two newly purchased air cleaners. Neither fit as they are 5+" hole ID and my Carter is 4.5+_ OD. I guess my little Holley would work but I really want to try this Carter. Does anyone make an adaptor or will it be a "owner built" mod. Did a search and came up Zip-------

you can buy a cheap(not inexpensive) plastic piece to do this or just go to Pluming store or home despot and get 5" abs by the foot. Its 1/4" thick and much stronger than cheap *** chinese adapters. It will cost you maybe $5 for 3-4' stick. I think we made them 1" tall cut on bandsaw. good luck

Here's the correct one...

"Air Cleaner Adapter, Plastic, Black, 4 7/32 in. Carburetor Inlet to 5 1/8 in. Air Cleaner Opening,"

I have used the and. Gasket adapter ring before on the old AFB carbs and they will work fine.
