Air Gap hood clearance

Who makes that air cleaner housing? It's slick!

Make sure you measure and check your angles carefully before ordering. I'm convinced it improved my performance measurably too. There's a significant amount of air pressure in the cowl, as evident by the blast of air that comes through the cabin vents when opened.

I wasn't able to use it on my car anymore. I'm going to try and build an air box to seal my air filter to the cowl for the cooler air. I'll have to block the opposite side opening I made for my N/A motor and enlarge the passenger side hole for more airflow to the air box I have to make after I finish the wiring.

I can’t Remember if the cowl is open all the way across or if it’s two separate compartments.

If it’s two you could somehow mount the filter to the drivers side and just hook your blower inlet to the cowl on the other side.

Never mind. I just typed myself into a corner. That can’t work.

On my '68 Barracuda, it's one single compartment with water drainage openings under the fenders near the hood springs.

I found a half-dollar-sized rust spot that was all the way through the paint in that area. I had to wire brush, treat and repaint it. Man, that rust repair business is no joke. It took me over 15 minutes to get the car rust free again!

The basic edelbrock drop base air cleaner will work with the flat stock hood no problem. Have done this exact thing in my Duster (still use the air cleaner with the super victor EFI) and a 71 Demon with a 318 magnum and an Air Gap
That's good, because I'm pretty sure that I HAVE one of those.
