Happy Thanksgiving guys. Looking for advice on the proper way to align the two bolts of the crossmember to the tail housing of my 904. It’s about half a bolt width off so I can’t put the two bolts in. The engine mounts are in and engine is secured sitting on the trans mount already.

Thank you for your help on this.

the pin that stick out the bottom of the biscuit should be to the front of the crossmember.

Just clarifying. With the assembly as stated in the OP. What moves to align the assembly? My instinct was to try and move the trans tail over with a prybar. Then I thought nope its locked in to the motor which is locked in to the body on the motor mounts.
Then I thought to loosen all 4 crossmember bolts and see if I can get an 1/8 movement.

Then I thought I would ask here so I am not messing this up as I lay on my back with the trans in my face….

Just loosen the engine mounts to allow you to grab the tail shaft and align things.

Got it!

After looking at more closely (my nose almost hitting the underside) I realized that I could take the pressure off the poly mount with a jack under the trans and move it over without needing to mess with the engine mounts.
Yes I have a rather large nose lol!

Thanks for helping see past my nose lol
