I've got an LD4B that is surplus to my needs and I want to list it for sale but I need to know how much it will cost to ship. I don't have a scale to get the weight for an online quote. Can someone who's shipped a standard small block aluminum intake give me an accurate weight for them. I realize the box will add a couple pounds.

I don't think it will fit in a large USPS Flat Rate box.
    Large Box 12-1/4" x 12-1/4" x 6" or 24-1/16" x 11-7/8" x 3-1/8" LargeFlatRateBox $17.60

It really depends on what carrier, where its going to from your location, size and weight. Your best bet is use one one of the carriers quote tools. Shipping across borders has issues too. Are you just looking to pad the price and include shipping in the sale?

They fit in that game box flat rate USPS but the box bulges. Never had an issue mailing one that way.

The last 2 I shipped from Michigan, one to the Carolina's and one to California via USPS was around 55 bucks.

I wasn't driving 40 miles round trip to do UPS or FED EX.

Just a word of advice if using that game box - use heavy duty reinforced tape and tape it every way horizontally and vertically all the way around. If you don’t, it seems USPS don’t handle them too well. I sent a 66 cast iron 4 barrel to Leanna securely taped like that and still USPS managed to tear the box at one end. Luckily the loose fasteners that were in a ziplock bag made it without coming out. Disclaimer; Your experience may vary!

Depends where its going and what size box; I just got a quote from FedEx today to ship a 23x17x12 17lb box from OR to MD was $83, and yes she said that with a straight face.

If ur sending usps it pays to go to a couple different post offices as it can vary a fair bit. I know it shouldn’t but it does. Same up here in Canada. As long as both places are fairly close. It costs me around $75.00 to ship 1 to the states. About $60.00 usd. Kim

USPS flat rate...remove studs and Itll fit, and tape it up good. LD4B is no high rise. Bulging boxes dont matter.
