Some of you may have seen my want ads for 68 Dodge Dart rear quarters.
Have any of you used the repo full rear quarters from Auto Metal Direct? They make full quarters for Duster,Demons,68-70 Chargers,68-69 Coronets, and 71-72 Road Runners.
I have seen AMD stuff in person at the Mopar Nationals and at Monster Mopar in St louis. It appeared to be very very nice sheet metal. If any of you have bought and installed AMD rear quarters how well did they fit?I have a pretty rare car so I want a perfect fit.
AMD just told me 67,68,69 rear quarters are in the works now and they should be out by next summer.
Thanks,Jim

they can't be any worse then the junk out there now.

i know some guys on the road runner board used their fenders, doors, and quarters and really liked them. i would expect anything you use to need some work to get right though

I've bought one of their tail panels for a Demon, and it was absolutely perfect. The quarters for the Dusters / Demons are not available yet, but are now supposed to be ready by the end of the year according to them. They are test fitting the latest version. I've got a set on order for my Demon and based on my experience with the tail panel expect them to also be perfect. They've rejected two test fits already, they seem hell bent on perfection. I've been waiting for six months for them but I think it'll be worth the wait.

And don't bother with the Sherman quarter skins, they are pure junk. I wasted my dollars on them and will offer them at half price to anyone that wants them.

All the stuff on the market is most likely from the same stamping.....junk. I spent many an hour putting one on and it sucks.

When AMD gets them for sale I am gonna cut the skin off and put on a full quarter.

Full quarters from AMD are going to be your best bet. I'd wait for them to come out.

The only complaint I've heard about the full Road Runner quarters is the the marker light hole in the '69 panel was not quite right (fixable though) but the rest of the quarter fit as good as NOS.

good luck with that stuff from amd....i live half a mile from them...went in there a couple times and its always the same story, we dont have the parts yet its in testing. if you want to get your project done this decade find someone else....all they have really is stuff for chargers, cudas and challengers.......o and by the way, there higher price than yearone. ya i didnt think anyone would be higher than yearone but they proved me wrong.

I bought a tail panel for a '72 Duster from AMD. Great fit...

I will say away from any of the sheet metal that is out now including Year One.I can wait a few years for AMD. I will keep my eye out for NOS or rustfree quarters until then.
Jim

The reason it takes AMD so long to release the parts is they stamp them out, test fit them, adjust the stamp, and repeat. The a-body stuff is coming but it will take some time.
