Animal rights BS

He actually changed it in the Genesis verses I posted above. Much earlier than The New Testament. I just picked what I posted out by itself to illustrate my point, but the context that proceeds it explains the whole point.

So what's for supper, Rob?? Lamb chops? Roast Beef? Ham Sandwich? :D:tongue1: LOL

Wow, talk about a completely misguided point of view. What reason makes you think a person's life is anymore important than some animals? Why is any one life more important than another?

And as far as your abortion scenario, the "human" mother\parents made that decision. The pregnant "animal" did not decide to off itself and its' unborn child. The hunter or a**hole in the vehicle made it.

Didn't mean to start any arguments or anything and yes I as a hunter agree that if the guy shot the deer then yes I got a problem with that cause deer are pregnant in the spring and deer aren't in season after January therefore he would've poached it. But you can't NEAR always avoid hitting an animal with your car.

My whole point in that point was the fact that thinking that an animals life is equal to a humans is just twisted. As far as the abortion thing goes i can use the same point that you used, those innocent babies didn't choose to off themselves. Why is it if you kill a pregnant woman you get charged with double manslaughter but that woman could've had an ambition and it would've been fine? As far as I see it murder is murder.

**no offense intended. Just stating the way I believe. I realize this isn't the N&P futon and I don't want this turning into a pissing match so if it does I'm perfectly fine with a mod deleting this. I'm not trying to challenge a tone, just giving some food for thought**

QUOTE] Just made this point a couple of post ago, but thanks for amen'n me

God breathed into man a living soul.... we are made after his image.... He died on the cross so man-kind could be saved... sorry furry friends, your cute, cuddly, tasty, but you are not our equal.... at the end of the day, a dog is still a dog

Well said. I couldn't agree more with this post.

No offense taken. Points are going to differ on every side of a topic like this. I was arguing more on the point of choice than anything else. And, again just me, but I can never agree with this "thinking that an animals life is equal to a humans is just twisted."

Sir, I humbly disagree with Your reply...

In My Humble Opinion, You Sir have much to lend ...

Not trying to be Parental in My observation,

With Humble Respects ... Please do post in the N&P...

All good. I should have kept my opinion to myself if I didn't to argue my view of it.

Does it stop with animals? What about bugs? They care for their colonies, want to live, and have a right to life too..... and to think of the millions of bugs killed by cars daily...

If animals are equal, then can I sue the next raccoon that trespasses on my land? And think of the revenues that we could generate if all animals start paying taxes? And should animals be denied public education? Health care??

And ya kept on reaching

I for one have shot more does than bucks. For 3 reasons, 1 I believe in quality deer management 2 I don't shoot small bucks and haven't seen any big ones in season and 3 I needed the meat. Take last year for instance, I haven't gone out in the woods with a gun to hunt deer in years, bow hunting is just a lot more fun for me, but my wife and I got married a year ago and we badly needed the meet and didn't have money to buy beef. So in light of that I went gun hunting and shot a doe and we still have plenty of meat!!

Reaching a bit there
Ok, so its you that gets to decide when life is equal, Ok, I see. Now, ask why insect life is less than animal life... and think real hard on it, and then you might apply the same thinking to man-kind vs animal life. I would hate for there to be a burning building, and a chance for you to save only one of 2 living things in it, a 6 yr old girl, or a 6 month old puppy.... which would you save????? I'm not being smart, just really wondering????

In ohio I usually get about four doe tags and we are only allowed one buck tag. For someone who believes in animal rights to he more in favor if only shooting bucks is completely backwards. That would make it into more of just a sporting activity then anything. I shoot as many as I can for two reasons. They are responsible for way too many car accidents here, and they are a very serious threat to crops and gardens. Also it's a much healthier and tastier alternative store bought meet.

Hunters don't shoot doe's? Explain your point please.

That's not true, Ed. Doe tags are issued all the time. Just not with the same frequency as buck tags.
