hi everyone just joined the site the other day and really like what i see here.
my present project is a 69 fastback cuda that was a racecar most of its life.it was caged and tubbed and a certified nhra car from the looks of things.
the reasons i think she was a drag car most of its life is some of the parts and mods it has.
1-early 60s b-body dana 60 with backing plates drilled out
2-and original hemi 4-speed from the same b-body
3-a very old tach cable drive tach
4-hurst inline shifter
5-a 5 point seat harness with an expiry date of 1977
6-the engine was set back 3 inches from stock
7-alot of panels drilled out to lighten the car
8-an aluminum steering box?
9-late 70s early 80s centerline rims
10-had a 440 big block with tunnel ram and 2x4 on top
however heres wat it started life as.
-340 4 speed with 8 3/4 rear
-the car was pail yellow
-white interior
-factory tinted glass
-buckets for sure and i think no console
-pedal dress up kit
-rocker moldings
-wheel lip moldings
-rally dash with econometer guage(vacuum guage)
so anyway that is all i can think of plus it has afairly early vin number supposedly built around sept the 6 1968
