another steering column question

Will a steering column from a 69 Dart M/S work with a power steering box? Can I just push the steering shaft into the column to make it shorter? Thanks

You will need to change the coupler at the end, I just put a m/s in my power steering car and that is the only mod I had to make

Sorry, not true. The shaft is longer from a MS column to a PS column. There seems to be "mixed emotions" about collapsing the shaft.

Well, I respect your advice, as I've been helped by you in the past. So, can I do it? will it mess up something? What's the pros and cons?

Collapse the shaft and put nylon screws through it to secure.

I've shortened and extended many steering shafts.
