Volcano rock, fossilized head of one my ancestors.???

when I was in jr high school i found one in our field and took it to school and gave it to teacher
 
Did anyone read the story last week about a meteorite that crashed through a house?
Went through the roof and landed in a bedroom
Think was still warm when homeowner discovered it
Dam if that rock Ray has doesn’t look like it
 
That was my uneducated guess.
I figured not a space rock since its not magnetic.
I was not aware there were no non-magnetic spare rocks. I thought there were both kinds.
 
I have a call into a good friend at BLM to see if he can help me out.

It does not appear to be meteoric.
It does not appear to be a coprolite.
It does not appear to be petrified wood or grained organic mateial.
It is not fossilized bone.

Could you post some close up pictures that are not so blurry?
Take a piece of sand paper and smooth a location on it and take pictures of that spot and post them.
Also, sand the part that is harder than the rest. The ring looking part, not the indention part.

I feel it is limestone and is probably part of an ancient sea bed.

Location location location. More info needed.

Do a search for meteorite rock. Lots of pictures look just like it.

Ok. I did that. Those meteorites do not look like this. There may be some similarities but they are very different.
Meteorite holes are caused by the rock being molten hot. Volcanic rocks have similar holes caused from a similar situation. The holes are caused by gas being expelled through the rock while molten.
This rock has one pock mark that resembles the holes you see on some meteorites, specifically about 5% of the pictures on google.
This rock has remnants of an ancient sea bed. That's what I am seeing.
I am an amateur paleontologist. I travel to places to find rocks. I collect rocks. I have thousands of pounds of rocks. This rock is not a meteorite.
 
So, we really need to know where it was found.
Then we can look at a stratigraphic map and figure out what layer it derived from.

I am unfamiliar with where K-Pax is.
Rivers and glaciation can more rocks thousands of miles but they are traceable. Location is the partial answer to this mystery.
