Well we are down to 2 windows for this old house.We have been youseing a great company, but there are 2 on line that is almost a perfect but there is only like 1/8 on each side for the spray foam is this enough or should there be a bigger cap,they are going in an wood frame, retrofit the 2 windows are new never unwrap and a great deal.Thankssssssssssssss.

1/8 gad is fine, just move a little faster.
You just might have to cut off more foam if you use the hi expanding stuff.

X2 on the LOW expanding foam. The other kind can force things into a bind. Many "replacement" windows have a foam strip around the outside edge where it hits the wood vs the "new construction" type that have a flange.

What do you guys think of warranties now a days,Cindy had a good point if we buy thoes there is no warranties,where as if we use the guy we have been buying from we have a hell of a good warranties .She may of just rain on my party,or did she.

Built my house in 1994 and installed Anderson low e thermopane windows. Out of the whole house the kit. Window had to be replaced after many years. They took care of it

If you get a great deal, and had to replace one later on your dime, how much would you be out?

If they are new name brand windows what kind of warranty do they have?

I had to give Anderson the info off the glass before they sent me a new panel.

Also do these windows match your other windows?

If it is a deal, the size you need and look good, why not! If they are cheap DIY bottom line windows probably not a good deal

If we had to replace booth windows 600 the windows are all weather from Home Hardware ,they look the same as the outher windows but the lock looks cheep.

The windows we have now are 1 North Star and the rest are OMEGA .
