anybody have a Hurricane in an A-body?

It's not gonna fit that Duster without firewall and core support mods, so it sure won't fit an early A body. A twin turbo slant 6 will though.

This 802 HP Turbo-I6 1987 Ram Truck Just Set a World Record

here it is in a truck but in, let's say, a 65 Valiant post car? WWeeee!

i got to talk to morgan at sick 66 last year. was looking that engine over and couldn'rt believe the size of the damn thing.. originally i tought it woudl be cool for an abody.. after seeing her truck its not worth the effort.. build a modern hemi...

I think they ended up putting it into a Dakota or something. I hated to see that vintage racer get taken apart and victimized for no reason. Was a really neat car when they first purchased it.

Boosted also got rid of the boost tubes over the top of the motor to get it short enough to fit under the hood.

Yep, they put it in a Dakota. I didn't watch the whole video you posted and even then it was awhile ago that I watched what I did, but I think they figured out pretty quick it wasn't going to fit.

Everything was already there to have more than enough fun. Car was solid a well kept. I inquired about the engine and transmission but never got a response.

NO kiddin. That's the first thing I thought when they yanked out the small block.

I was disappointed when Gen2 Garage shifted to a Dakota. I was excited to see someone try and make it work in an A-Body. I understand why they did it, and not saying it is all that reasonable to try, but I would like to see someone do more than hover the motor over the engine bay.

Get rid of the boost tubes over the top and trim the pan like Boosted did and I wouldn't be completely surprised if it didn't fit under the hood. People put Viper motors in old Mopars and Boosted got it to fit under a Viper hood and I bet they have less vertical room, so it stand to reason it would fit.

Someone did it in a newer Challenger for the Roadnights challenger this year. It would be interesting to look at what he did. Don't think it had a hood, but it might shed some light on how the Hurricane compares height wise to a Hemi from the front part of the oil pan to the top of the valve cover.

Have not been back reading much... But there was a "Super Hurricane" flat head 6 put into the 1956 Jeeps. Special 2 bbl carb and intake, solid lifters.

Here is the Super-Hurricane carb being tested on a stock build 360.

Oh Yeah, and it handled it.

Cranking it out with the Old School.

At a loss for words on this one... when I saw the header getting cut apart in the name of "progress" followed by the ensuing folly, I had to turn it off.
Def hard to watch. The “rescuing” video was exciting. The previous owner (Butch) had a lot of memories plastered on that car and you could tell he enjoyed it.

The new Charger is suppose to come with one, I bet the engine has some changes made as the Charger/Challenger engine bays are quite a bit smaller than the trucks.
