Anybody know of a lightweight steering column kit

Hopefully he can build it quickly and boosted says it's badass.

He said he will have more in a couple of weeks. I probably won’t install mine for a while so if you need it sooner, you can have the one I got coming and I’ll get one from the next batch.

Okay, that sounds good, that's awfully kind of you. Thanks Bill.

Here you go. Bottom is splined for splined universal style coupler, top is extra length as it is cut to size, then weld on quick release. All ball bearing setup.... no plastic bushings.

The last photo is my car. Love the column, only issue I have being it sits slightly lower than the factory column did. Other than that it’s great and you can see there’s a nice looking turn signal switch that fits them.

We gutted and shortened my factory tube, made rynite bushings for the ends, small diameter moly tube/shaft, welded quick release on one end and a u-joint on the other. Lightened the factory mount, and all bolts in. Not aluminum, but a bunch lighter than original and keeps some semblance of original.

That's clean, your interior looks nice from that photo

Where did you get the turn signal switch from? Was thinking it looked familiar lol

I got it from motion race works. It’s a two piece deal with a simple rocker switch in it. It’s nice but was a PITA to make the signals work on a 3 prong switch.

Do you have a thread on this build ?
I'm sorry, No. It goes it spurts of ambition. Haven't touched the car in 3-4 months. I'm waiting on a major part of the build to get finished, so I can get serious again....
Next is the fuel system, which has been started. I'm really wanting to get the entire driveline in it, first.

@MOPARMAGA

The one I ordered will be here on Monday. Did you want it or you going to wait? Also, when are you going to be over this way so you can pick up the paint? Don't make me start charging you storage fees on this free paint! lol

Thank you, I don't think I can afford that thing right away. I had to buy a bumper today I forgot about. The paint, I'll have to figure something out.
I'll let you know asap.
