Attaching 64 Barracuda Rear Window Moulding

The center moulding under the rear window wasn't attached when I bought the car. What was used to attach it originally? The posts connected to the moulding don't look like they take a normal nut. Also, the threads don't go all the way to the bottom of the screw, so there doesn't seem to be a way to tighten it down. Pictures of what I have are shown below.

If my memory is correct from when I installed mine a decade ago, you'll need a 1/4" drive socket wrench with an extension. Also be careful not too overtighten them or you risk breaking off the prong attached to the trim.
 
Yea, I call them sheet metal nuts, some types had a little waterproof material inside the nut, In this application mine had a small foam-like washer for a water seal. It will show that on the service manual.
