Attaching the Water Pump to a Slant 6

I just flipped the Slnat 6 I have on my engine stand and am going to be attaching the new water pump to the block. Beofre i start, do I have to worry about sealing any of the bolts that hold the water pump in place? It looks like some of them may go into the water channel of the block????????

It's been a long time since I did this but I seem to remeber putting a sealant on the bolts. Couldn't hurt I don't think.

also install the bypass hose before final installing the pump, you'll never get it in there otherwise
