i just picked this up today. it is a 71 scamp with a 65 383 hp engine with 73 hp c body manifolds. 727 trans, crossmember, sbp a-body 8.75 rear,it now has a 3:23 open chunk in it. driveshaft, all linkages for the colunm shift, k-frame has been modified to put the engine in the car. i do not believe it is a stock a-body b.b k-frame.

the car itself is not for sale. just the entire running gear assembly.


it turns over freely. i will be putting a dist cap on it in the morning, as i had to order one, and will tell you how well it runs. i see no metallic particle in the oil.

i put the dist cap on today, poured some fuel down her throat, and after about 2.5 revolutions, she fired right up, had 60 lbs oil pressure. i did not let it run long, as there was/is no radiator in it. i would just freshen it up with rings, bearings, and gaskets.

Just curious 340plot, are the manifolds modified in anyway to fit? This might be a valed new option for people putting BBs into A-bodies.
 
Hey 340plot, would you know if the shifter linkage would work on my duster.. im thinken the kickdown linkage would be different,,would need all shifter linkages, tranny tab and frame tab with the plastic bushings and shifter assembly and kick down linkage, gear select and passing gear tabs on the tranny and rods etc, if it all would work. and also the 727 slip yoke if its 7260 universal type small universal..or if its 7290 big universal ,let me know what you have .But the shifting linkage is my main concern..My car is 73 duster small block ,colum shift ,727 trans.shoot me a PM with price shipping etc,, must make sure this will work..thanks
 
im very interested in the 8 3/4 rear do have to have third member just housing and axles or just housing . how much shipped to 47802 for housing and axles and brakes to me thanks.

ok, price lowered again. you get complete drivetrain for this to go directly into a a-body. engine/trans/rear/manifolds/driveshaft,springs/k-frame/trans linkage. this all was bolted right into a 71 scamp.

1,500.00 AND MAYBE I CAN MEET HALFWAY TO HELP FROM SHIPPING THIS SETUP

come get this engine/tran/ k frame conmbo. heck. it will drop right into an a-body. i am just not a fan of a b.b last chance offer manifolds included. 550.00 for the whole shebang
 
please keep your comments to yourself. If its not a question about the item for sale it doesnt belong in the classifieds. I just deleted almost 30 posts out of this one thread.
