Backspace and wheels '65 dart

Just about finished with my Dart. 8 3/4 with inboard kit with Cal Tracs. Mounted the 10" Auto Drags and 10.5 x 28" slicks. Trimmed the fender lip. Tight fit. Maybe 3/4" spacing btwn inner fender and tire. Anybody run into this? Whats your solution? Thanks
