Balancer recommendation for cast stroker

I bought the pistons used . They only had a few passes before the engine spun a bearing . The guy came down with cancer and just threw the old 360 in due to cost . Which might be another issue since they have been balanced once already….I bought the crank and rods new separately.
The machine shop has all the components but the balancer I brought him had cracks in the elastomer ring so he recommended that I get a new one . I will call scat on Monday .

The idea was to just toss a stroker crank in the original engine thinking it would be fairly inexpensive.
With aftermarket pistons and rods, I think you're committed to having everything balanced because the damper and flywheel weights are for stock rotating assemblies. Having the assembly internally balanced also takes the guesswork out of weighting the damper and flywheel.

It’s already at the machine shop for balancing . I was just confused about whether it gets internal or external balancing.
Looks like it will be internal.
 
all in all though I am in the rotating assembly under 1000.
Plus the balancer , bearings and balancing .
 
Nah. I ordered the cast crank and forged piston kit from Hughes. For everyday street, cast is more than enough.
I agree. And this engine will seldom see full throttle and rpms above 5000.
Like I said this is just a strong daily driver . I will take 1000 + mile trips from time to time .
I love driving a muscle car long distances.
 
I have 2 Romac balancers on my 360's and they worked fine. One of them is a 408 and I've had no problems twisting it to 6400 RPM.

Sorry I missed the Mallory question. Yes, they take a few slugs to be internal,and alot of extra labor/time. I don't fault you at all for just going internal on one engine though, especially with your other savings.
