I'm ordering a few under the hood parts so when I pull my 273 to get ready for the paint. Classic industries has two listed. One is OEM part for 34.99.
The other is after market part for 4.99. Is it worth the difference to get the OEM part. They look the same.

i just ordered mine from rock auto for like six bucks dont know im wainting for mine why did you order yours ill let you know how mine goes when i get it but mine is for a slant six for my 65 dart

I haven't checked rock auto. Mine is for a 273 commando engine.

Thanks Cliff, I have bought parts from rock Auto, but had a classic catalog and wasn't thinking. Any recommendations on buying a coil.

If you are going for a 100-point restoration, go with the OEM. Otherwise, it does not matter.

Edit: And it doesn't matter how much you spend or who makes it, it will burn out eventually.

Well, on the coil... I use a OEM one as I like the "Mopar" printed on it... Since it's a very visible part on my intake manifold... I try to keep the engine looking original, but that's just me being me... I bet most peeps don't even notice or care for that matter... You do what feels good for YOU !!! I Love the fact You are trying to save the ol' cuda !!! ⚓ Thank You ☕

What you need is a resistor with correct ohms. If using a stock coil and points setup you want a ballast resistor with .5 to .7 ohms.
This is lower than electronic ignition or higher 45,000 plus volt coils will need and critical for coil life and engine performance especially cold starts.
Have had good success with the BWD RU19 for my stock points builds.
