If you regularly follow my Monthly Special threads, then you probably already know my big new oven is about finished. At 7' x 4' x 3', it will easily hold a motorcycle frame or two and everything car-related short of a full chassis.

I'm going to be getting a revised Price List together for the website which will obviously include larger parts now. I'm asking for your collective help in giving me a good starting point on various large parts so I'm neither ripping off my customers or selling my services short. (Of course, I'm sure some adjustments will be made up or down later as the bigger stuff starts getting done around here and I get a better feel for what all is involved.)

If you've ever had a larger part powder coated, please tell me what it was, about how much it cost you to get done, and your location since geography and more local competition impact pricing structures.

Some of the items I need input on (feel free to add your own please):

Rear end housing
K-member
Crossmember
Bumper
Steering column
Dashboard frame
Motorcycle frame

Though the main focus at PSC is on car parts, I also expect to get some occasional lawn furniture, tractor parts, etc., showing up too as the word gets out so don't be shy if your price contribution isn't auto-related. There's no such thing as too much information and it's ALL welcome and appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your help on this, and to FABO for letting me peddle my wares and hang out with my friends at the same time. I couldn't ask for anything more!

I had a dashboard powdercoated out here in satin black for 100 bucks. The job wasn't show quality but good enough for its intended purpose. I had gotten about 5 estimates ranging from $100 to $175.

Here's a few pics so you have a good idea of the size and complexity of the part:

I am not sure of prices but let me know how much for doing a K-frame when you decide. I have one coming also you can probly can do LCA's now can't you?

Congratulations on the new and larger oven. My budy used to powder coat on the side, but his oven was a smaller one so I wouldn't have any idea on prices for the larger stuff. Once again, congratulations!

Vic, I'd guess a clean k-member (i.e., I don't spend 2 hours scraping off 3 inches of road grime before I can blast it lol) will be around $40 in a stock color before the FABO 10% discount is applied.

And you're right, I can already do the entire suspension now with the exception of the k-frame, centerlink and leaf springs. Everything else fits in my current oven.

Thanks for the congrats Brad! This has been a VERY long time coming and I'm really excited to get it over here.

What I send to you will already be media blasted and that sounds great. I will be in touch as soon as I get everything in order. Thanks
