gday all , am trying to find info on 15" steel rims for my 65 (aussie) valiant , want to keep my factory hubcaps and upgrade to some better brakes ? any suggestions

Custom wheels from Wheel Vintiques.

AS far as I know there never was a 15" wheel offered with a 4 inch bolt circle

The factory did offer front disc brakes that fit into 14 inch wheels with the 4"bc . Those were the Kelsey Hayes 4-piston stoppers and 14 x 5.5 steel Rallaye wheels. The rears were 10 inchers.
These were found on 2nd gen A's (67 to 72) with Hi-Performance, or HD, or trailer towing pkgs, and usually with performance engines.

Custom brakes systems can be ordered to fit 15 inch,4.5 bc wheels, but they wont accept your 14 inch
caps.If you put better brakes on the front, its wise to upgrade the rears at the same time.If you are moving from all drums to disc/drum, you will need some other parts as well

Yeah I knew about those.
You called your wheels Mopar Rallaye steel wheels. Makes it sound like they were factory original. I think what you meant was Mopar Rallaye STYLE, aftermarket, steel wheels.Would that be correct?

No... I did not mean they were original... But I did spell "Rallye" correct from their (Specialty Wheels, Ltd.) paper work... and brochure !!!
But yes, they are aftermarket ... And when I said "Mopar" , yeah... I meant "Style" !!!

I'll try to delete or Edit that post/s....:coffee2:

Just recently went to 15x8 Mopar Police Rallyes on my '64 Dart. 225/50R15 tires clear everything and give outstanding grip over the 205/60s I had on the 15x7 cop car wheels I was previously running. I got the wheels and tires from Summit Racing. The also carry the Mopar steel wheels in 15"s and small bolt pattern which should except factory 9" hubcaps, as well as the Police Rallyes that also work with OEM caps.

Well, my 225/60R/15 on 15 x 7 rims Ride so much nicer then the old 14's...
Is Everyone so NEGATIVE on here?

Sigh~:coffee2:

I'm not negative, I'm shooting it straight from experience.

Since the OP was talking about brake upgrades, they are going to do you no good if your tires suck. Suspension upgrades are a package deal, one part goes hand in hand with the other to get the best out of the investment.

It boils down to; I just don't like seeing people waste money. When at a 1"+ bigger rim you could actually get a tire with some decent tread wear and better compounds. On top of that, these days 15" can actually be more expensive.

If you get them at a steep discount, more power to ya.

Just fair warning.

Wheels look awesome Cliff. Those may look good on my car.

Did you look at the picture of my 15 X 7 wheels & Tires and note the touch of RED though the wheel vent holes on my Formula "S" 65 Cuda??? Those are SSBC Disk Brake Calipers (Kit A153-2)... Not only do the bigger wheels look better and ride better... They along with the disk brakes help it STOP better!!! And that 1" bigger rim also gives the calipers the clearance they require.
I've been Mopar all my life... and @ 70 have driven and worked on these cars when they were brand new (Re: My 4 Speed 273 4 BBL Charger 65 Dart along with many other Mopars) I have experience as well...

And the OP talked Wheels AND Brakes in Post "1"

Clif, OLD (Very) Mopar Geezer... (And Grumpy at times) :coffee2:
