Black seats in a red interior

Think it look OK-

My seats are worn out on the 78 Magnum, some newer car-suv seats have the seatbelts on the seats and got heat, power support but they are all gray, tan or black it seems. My interior is a darker red, same with the paint.

It be a custom install but doable, just wondering how the mix match would look, I think it be OK. Could always get black carpet but the dash-door panels would still be red

With the Dashpad dyed Black, and possibly some Black Sunvisors and maybe Black Armrests, it'd look good.

2-Tone Interiors go well with just about anything, and Black is one of the best "Universal" Colors there is

I have had real good luck with Duplicolor vynal paint.
The back seat and door panels are done with it.

Some of those bucket seats go for over $500, some $1,000 ouch

Look how cheap now these cars / trucks are today. They used to have 7-9 interior colors, now its tan, gray or black just about. No more red seats

They wouldn't have got away with it back in 1970 but today all is cool for most folks, a red car with gray or black seats is OK.

In the past you could not order a red car with black interior, does look good thou

I have had real good luck with Duplicolor vynal paint.
The back seat and door panels are done with it.

I had some bad luck with the Duplicolor dyes when I tried to do my Dashboard and Horn Button on my '74 (the stuff NEVER dried) I tried baking it on, tried letting it sit for 6 months, the stuff never dried on the horn button or dashpad (but the seat did)

Had to scrub the stuff off with paint thinner and I used Cloth/Vinyl Dye made by Marhyde (apparently it's part of the Bondo company). Sprayed on great and came out perfect on every surface I used it on.

It smells funky when you're spraying the stuff though, but once it's on, you don't smell it.

Yeah in the summer would be the best time to do it.

They got some nice seats on ebay now, go to seats and click on nearest first and see whats around you. Shipping is high and a few sellers will not ship, those are the better buys.

People are always wrecking these cars, Camaro seats are even coming up, the 2011's.

Charger seats look sweet but a grand or more ? 2011 Challenger's might be better yet. Lot of money thou, too much for me

Try to get a set of suspension Bucket Seats from a 1979 - 1993 Dodge D50 pickup truck. They are the most comfortable seats you will ever put your butt on :glasses7: Sadly they're kind of rare (alot of the D50's came with a Bench Seat & 5-Speed). Look for one with an Automatic transmission (904 or A500) Those trucks had Bucket Seats & a Center Console

The Buckets in my '84 D50 have been transfered into several trucks over the years and have somewhere in the range of 300,000 "butt miles" on them, still the most comfortable seats I've ever sat in. I threw some $40 Seat Covers on em about 7 years ago to protect them.

They're also about the same size as a Duster Bucket Seat, only they lack a Reclining function sadly, but they do tilt forward
