Body foam and seam sealer

So i am doing a 5 speed conversion and am in the process of tacking the new floor in. I was wondering what the best products are for waterproofing/weatherproofing the floor gaps from the new tunnel. Was thinking of 3M for the sealer but not sure about the spray foam that the Keisler instructions call for. Any help on this would be great. Thanks.

I've always used regular seam sealer. I know guys who have used roofing (black tar stuff) type sealers too. The foams I've used to stop rattles in decklids and stuff. I havent sealed with it before.

I used a product by Crest (not the toothpaste people) that was very good.
