Wait....do you wear coats in Cali?Shirt=large
Coat=x large
What i mean is if I reach top rpm too soon, then there could be more on the table but I'd be out of rpm or out of gear, so to speak. For now it's a mild steel crank 383.Why don't you want to run 6,000 rpm for an extended period of time ?
Not like that's a lot of rpm, what engine combo are you going to run ? (I missed it)
Gotcha. I can look at the QC closer as to what it needs. Both axles need brakes and such. The 8 3/4 has a known good center diff with 2.94 and spool.I think I’d rather have the 2.50 gear and a 3 speed than a 3.23 and an OD 4 speed. You likely won’t hook up for the first mile with the second combo so it won’t accelerate faster.
As of right now, it seems to be the best fit to try the 150 Club, but concentrate on passing Tech inspection and get rookie runs in.Why don't you want to run 6,000 rpm for an extended period of time ?

Not often. Usually a hoodie gets the job done. It’s been in the 40s overnight but still mid 60s during the day.Wait....do you wear coats in Cali?
Balh blah blah...lol. was -30 windshield the other day. Back to single digits this weekend.Not often. Usually a hoodie gets the job done. It’s been in the 40s overnight but still mid 60s during the day.
As requested Sir...Serious question, at what point does the title of the thread need to be changed from “what if” to “Holy crap I’m doing this”? Asking for a friend.
Nope. No thanks. No way. Not for me.Balh blah blah...lol. was -30 windshield the other day. Back to single digits this weekend.
You realize now you have to accomplish something right?As requested Sir...

Yup, no more just talking about it. Gotta get after it. So, unless the car is a complete undriveable mess, major catastrophe, or weather. We will be there!You realize now you have to accomplish something right?

Remember way back on page 1 or2 when I said “if the math says you need 800hp, build 1000hp”. Keep that in mind.I added in transmission ratios with speed/tire/rpm variables that can be entered in and manipulated. For 150 Club , it shows 288.91 wheel hp and maybe ~5500 rpm in 3rd. Going to have to do any and all aero tricks I can think of and afford.

Yeah I remember, and I know I need lots more HP, but also trying to stay as positive about every aspect of this adventure - speed included. I hope it will do 150-159Remember way back on page 1 or2 when I said “if the math says you need 800hp, build 1000hp”. Keep that in mind.
I don’t think you need “lots” more hp to get to 150-159mph. But I wouldn’t show up with 288 and that goal in mind. I think I’d aim for about 400 which is logical and easily doable.Yeah I remember, and I know I need lots more HP, but also trying to stay as positive about every aspect of this adventure - speed included. I meant lots for the overall speed goal. I hope with the aero mods and the HP I have, I can get to the 150 Club.I don’t think you need “lots” more hp to get to 150-159mph. But I wouldn’t show up with 288 and that goal in mind. I think I’d aim for about 400 which is logical and easily doable.
