OEM has a slot instead of round screw hole. The Ford part has a dimple that catches the opening in the lower yoke per their application. Their dimple is almost where we would need a screw hole.
 
Thanks for you effort. Let me know if you have any further ideas. Now to find the Ford clips.
 
I think one could go to their local LKQ and fill a pocket with used. Even if the shroud is in place, only 2 bolts at top to remove. Go under and pick them off their perch. Another option is find/contact the source of the new clips provided with aftermarket radiators.
