I think its an old valley. Works great (only issue I found is the Q ball returns where all the other balls go) No serial number that I can find.

Looks like it does have a seperate cue ball return. My guess is the cue ball you have is a little smaller than the original.

can't help you with the brand, but I can tell you that you need a bigger cue ball.

The cue ball should be about 1/16th of an inch bigger than the others , then the mechanism knows to send it to the other return.

edit- damn my slow typing lol.

Nice!! Nothing like wrenching then layin down the tools for a game!!! I love pool...so does "memike" I have never had sex on one yet...its on my bucket list

My Dad buys and sells pool tables. The Valleys I have seen have a Valley metal tag or sticker.Looks like a decent table you have anyway.

Jim

Do you have the key to open the ball bin ? and yes like the members posted the cue ball
in a bit to small for that pool table, in the ball been there should be a some numbers up inside the ball bin, looks like a real nice table, Cougar,Valley and Venture tables have different models and yours looks like a Bar size table Very nice indeed

It looks like an old Valley coin op to me too.

Cue balls are made in different sizes (and sometimes internal magnets) to direct its return to the front of the table ...

"The standard diameter for pocket billiard balls, as defined by the Billiard Congress of America, is 2-1/4 inches plus or minus .005 inch (ref 1). In the case of tables using oversized cue balls, the cue ball is typically 2-3/8 inches in diameter, or about 1/8 inch larger than the other balls."

Though far more rare, magnetic cue ball return systems rely on a magnet embedded in the cue ball that triggers a sensor as the ball rolls down the return chute. This sensor causes a switch to flip that moves a gate, sending the cue ball into a separate path that returns it to the players.

Congrats on having your own table!!! I left mine, an antique oversized 8-footer, in California when I moved (it wouldn't fit in the Cuda on the U-haul lol). As your friends find out about it, keep in mind that some people will blame anything from the phase of the moon to the Aurora Borealis for a missed shot ... so if you've got one of those rare magnetic tables, your opponent might say that shifts in the Earth's magnetic field spoiled their aim. :-D

Here is the cue ball return. No magnetic goodies that I can see. Tried adjusting but no luck.

Cue balls are not all the same size, we play at a bar that has 3 tables and if the wrong cue ball is used on one of the tables it will not return, so go to Bull Dog .. let me find a link and post it here for you. be right back :happy1:
