i have a 1969 dart and im installing a wilwood disc brake conversion kit up front and i was told that i should install new steel brake lines for the car. i was wondering if i can just run compressed air through the lines to clear them of any dirt so that i dont have to make new ones. or will the old brake lines affect the performance of my new brakes?

I am converting over to 4 wheel discs right now and to me it's not worth it to spend all that money and then trust 40 year old brake lines.

I am buying all new brake lines from Inland Tube. Prices are reasonable. Or you could always just bend your own. Either way.

I used Finelines for my brake line replacemet. Good folks over there! Use original material and you won't have to spend alot. Fitment was perfect too.

Everyones car and parts are different.
fi a project has been sitting with open lines or if the lines are about rusted through from the outside anyway, replace them.
The original lines on my red car are in fine condition and I will continue to use them post brake upgrade. I will flush them out with brakeclean and compressed air.
