I worked on this on Saturday, chaning all the fluids....except the clutch fluid.....there is no bleeder nipple, as the slave cylinder is inside the bellhousing and is part of the throw-out bearing....what a stupid idea!!!.
Its a 5.4 litre V8, 260kw....altered and tuned to make 310kw, has a 6 speed manual Tremec g'box, ABS and traction control.
Its a 2005 Ford Falcon XR8 Magnet Ute BA Mk2.
I didn't get to take it for a drive, and it was raining anyway.

Did anyone notice the 1955 El Camino? That has to be a custom build. The first year of the El Camino was 1959 (not '55), and it was built as Chevy's answer to Ford's Ranchero that began in 1957.

Any idea where that '55 El Camino photo was taken? I'd like to research that one a little more.

How about a 68 Corvette 427 tri-power 4spd convert?

Went to look at an 82 Toyota 4x4 for sale, and I remembered the house having a Mustang out front for sale a long time ago. I asked the guy if it was the same house, Yep, its in the garage.
40,000 original miles, 1 repaint years ago. 351C auto, real Mach 1.

The gy that ownes it has owned it since the early 70's and has put less than 4k miles on it since. It's been sitting in there since the early 90's. Sitting next to it is a 68 Dodge truck with 3900 original miles. It's beautiful!

Thanks,
Do you know if it's a 400HP or a 435?
Does he still have the BB hood or just the L/88 style thats on it?
I really like that one! LOL I'll always have a soft spot for 68-72 Corvettes.

George

I don't know what HP it is. I believe that is the only hood he has for it. It looks a lot nice in the pic than it is. It was rear ended pretty hard early on in its life. He has a standing offer of $18k cash and won't take it.

Here's an old Rustang, sitting in a storage lot in a small coastal town, population about 800 or so. It's been there a long time, judging by the plate.

i'm no expert but i always thought that all vette tri-power big blocks were 435 hp.
435 HP engine was an L71.
400 HP was L68.
Both are tripower engines.

435 HP L71 wasn't available with A/C, and in some years, available with 4 speed only, where the 400 HP L68 was avail with A/C, automatic and some other convenience options.
Your Corvette trivia for the day!

Also saw this Beaumont in the college parking lot this morning. Pretty late in the year to be driving a nice Pontiac like this, (road salting season) but cool to see it.
