How do you sit in the seat compared to the original position. The one video posted on the thread says he is about an 1 inch off. Is it the same/noticable?Here's the brackets you need with the part #s:
Procar 81432 & 81433. They bolted into the existing holes in my 67 Barracuda. Should be the same for yours.
And the Procar 90 series lowback buckets with headrest.
I got the seats and brackets through Summit racing because they had them in stock just a few weeks ago and they were not in stock at Procar.
Very comfortable!

except old buckts offer next to know support and feel like you will fall out of them around corners not to mention like sitting on an old couch. Just get modern type and retrim in a old school look.E body bucket seats are the same as A body. You'll just need to get A body tracks if you get a set.
Modern seats in classic cars will never look anything other than out of place to me. I know a lot of guys like them but it's like putting mom jeans on a hot chick.
Lol i just painted the underside of my car and yep you correct i have overlooked reinforcing the bucket holes!! Lucky its only raptor liner so will be able to touch up!!. Did you reinforce yours if so how?Don't think anyone mentioned it yet, but if you put in buckets when you had only the bench before, you'll probably want to reinforce the floor where the seats bolt down towards the center by the trans tunnel. The outer holes were already reinforced. There are subtle dimples where the other holes would be for the stock buckets. At least, there was for my '73. I just went through this last year. Here's the procar classic series 1500 with the procar brackets I picked up from summit. They're.... ok. Other than I hate the big white tag stitched into them, they feel a little narrow even though in the center they're actually pretty close. I have a center console I have yet to install and I think it'll be a tight fight. In hindsight, I think I should've spent a little extra and opted for more of a ralley seat. Something with more in the bolsters. I like my cars to hug me with love and unicorn kisses. As far as fitment goes, I think they work out ok.

Not sure I understand what you mean. 1 inch off what? The seats feel really great to me and the height is adjustable, 3 height positions on the front and back of the slider brackets. How do you sit in the seat compared to the original position. The one video posted on the thread says he is about an 1 inch off. Is it the same/noticable?
All I have is this video... probably list it all in it
Did these brackets fit exactly into the bucket seat holes, whether existing or you had to drill out the dimples? Here's the brackets you need with the part #s:
Procar 81432 & 81433. They bolted into the existing holes in my 67 Barracuda.
Yes, they bolted right into the existing holes from my other bucket seats. My car was originally a bench seat car but i added the reinforcement plates years ago that lined up with the factory bucket location dimples. The only thing I did was add some shims, where needed, in order to level the mounting brackets from side to side. You can see that the outer front part of the bracket is pretty tight to the bench seat bump up, but the seats bolted in. I didn't want to cut my carpet up so I mounted the brackets on top of the carpet. I've seen other do it differently. I used some longer grade 8 bolts to allow for shims. When I was done adjusting everything, I painted the shims black so they pretty much blend right in.Did these brackets fit exactly into the bucket seat holes, whether existing or you had to drill out the dimples?
81433 has no dimensions on Summit, ProCar shows this for a Dart Swinger, and 10 other non a-body cars, as 4x16x20".
I looked up seat brackets for a 67 Barracuda on Summit and ProCar website, both list different brackets for 65-69 Barracuda.
Passenger side:
81345 for 12 1/4 X 12 1/2
81341 for 18"
Neither site differentiates between seats.
Any input is appreciated.

Great, thank you.My car was originally a bench seat car but i added the reinforcement plates years ago that lined up with the factory bucket location dimples. The only thing I did was add some shims, where needed, in order to level the mounting brackets from side to side.
plates don't come with the brackets. I welded mine in on top of the floor.Great, thank you.
My 67 is a bench now.
Do the AMD plates come with the brackets?
I see some use them as shims on top of the floor, but I thought they were for under the floor.
Although iirc the outer bolts still go through the original floor/seat braces.
I went through a couple varieties of the procar brackets before I ended with the ones I used. Their website is not good on showing which brackets you actually get when you order them. The first set was not even close to bolting in. No idea what they might have made to fit but it sure wasn't my 67 Barracuda. That's why I wrote the part numbers on my brackets for the photos, hopefully to help someone else.Pics above show 81432 & 81433, listed for every a-body except Barracuda, bolt into a 67 Barracuda with the Pro-90 Series seats.
Brackets are low to the floor.
I found pics on fabo, link below, of 81344 and 81345, listed for 65-69 Barracuda, mounted in a 68 Barracuda.
Brackets bolt in fine and fit, but are much higher, clear the bench seat floor mount hump.
These could be the source of 'seat too high' complaints, but it's not clear to me if specific brackets are required for specific seat models.
Same thread shows 81432 & 81433 with the Pro-90 Series seats in a Valiant. Seats/adjusters appear to be bolted at the higher slot to the brackets.
Imo I'd rather have the low brackets with the ability to modify to raise than the opposite.
There's also 81340 and 81341 which are listed for 65-69 Barracuda and are the 18" variety, not sure for what seats, or floor?
I type stuff out sometimes for my own sake, maybe it helps.
Procar seat brackets awareness
I have heard of people using Sebring convert front seats. They have built in shoulder harnesses. i don't know if the back seats will fit though. What are some good salvage yard seats for a 2dr hardtop(70 Dart Swinger)? Been looking at LX/LA Challenger seats since they're plentiful(good shape/inexpensive), supportive, comfortable and matching rear seats. What other options have y'all had good luck with? Kind of leaning toward cloth but not set in stone.
ever consider thats not good time management..... financially often doesnt make sense. I do quite a bit to my car...... i have paid for all the body work.... probably 40k or so. But guarantee the time it took for that 40k of work i made 100k so doing it my self would of actually cost me money. That's nice.
But what ever happened to old school, where you scrounge & then build what you need to make it fit. Don't we consider ourselves hotrodders? Don't hotrodders use things we find because we have the eye to see what something can be?
Elsewhere richers are bashed for buying everything & assembing cars, or having them assembled instead of doing it all themselves.
And maybe all the used parts sellers wouldn't have to haul so much to scrap if we all restored parts instead of buying repros.
Where's the Pride in an assembled car. In your wallet?
I always wanted to learn how to do.
so do the sliding mechanisms then fit to these? does it make the car seats sit very tall?Yes, they bolted right into the existing holes from my other bucket seats. They fit very well and not high. I have mine set at the lowest height.so do the sliding mechanisms then fit to these? does it make the car seats sit very tall?
