Mini tubbed (springs on the frame rails), SS springs, 4.88 gears, moser axles, Recipts for everything in the rear end (all new), Full roll cage, Line lock kit, MSD Ignition, comes with radiator w/electriic fan mounted, new trans cooler, Much more.

this car too!!!!! :headbang:

You need to go head to head against another mopar for a couple of reasons. It aint fair to rice, fords or chevys. You don't want to win a rice, ford or chevy.

It would be hard to do a Mopar on a budget. Beside I would rather loose a for or chevy if something happened. Theres a reason you see so many Mustangs on the show. Parts are cheap and the rear suspension on them is awsome.

No Mopars...the reason is.....(wait for it).....most Mopar guys are smarter than the drivel on that show!!! Why the h*ll would I wanna win an off-topic car. Sheesh, I'd be the first guy to turn down the car I just won!!!

adam does have a point mustangs are so cheap, hell look at how many are on the show, and yeah it is sad i never did see any mopars :( and mopars are expensive to build well i mean someone could buy a omni throw a 360 in it with all the above mentioned and run that :headbang:

I couldn't agree more! I have watched the show twice and thought it sucked both times. I would rather chew broken glass than waste my time with that show.

most mopar guys arent stupid enough to gamble with part of the family they made 5 billion chevy`s and ford`s so if you lose one theres still 4.999 billion left LOL :wack:

Damn! Don't you guys have any FAITH that a MOPAR would WIN! The guy wants to see a MOPAR on the show ! He knows he could put together a chevy or ford cheaper but then that would defeat his whole purpose of there being a MOPAR on the show.I say go for it and see if you can land a few sponsers.Hell If everyone chipped in a few parts here and there it could be done and wouldn't cost any one person the $$$ to do the whole thing. I wil be willing to help out with a few $$$ and maybe some parts. LETS ALL GET TOGETHER AND MAKE IT HAPPEN!

REMEMBER MOPARS RULE :headbang:

personally i would like to do the same only with all motor no juice or turbos or any kind of power adder.it seems that all the cars on the show have nitrous.hell anything will go with enough of that stuff.however all motor is another story. it then becomes the most hp to the ground/ reaction time and car set up.may seem old fashioned but i like it

i have to agree in the sence that most of the cars on the show were only built fast and cheap.. in essence ford and chevs.. more so mustangs.. because if you lose it you dont really lose much.

if you were to lose a mopar you would lose a lot of investment! time and effort, sponership would help and with everyone here i think it would be great.. to win sell the car you won and either portion it out to all that had helped with the build OR put it into the car and race to win again.

Id help because i truely feel a wel built straight up mopar would beat anything thrown at it on or off spray.. but the driver would make or break what the outcome would be! i think someone should seriously look into this, with all of us at FABO showing our support and some sponsors.. a MOPAR would make a mark and id love to see it. plus i would HAVE to be there at the race!

This has to be thought out. Could it be done so it doesnt cost any one person too much??

Any car I'd be willing to race is not one I'd be willing to risk. An A-body with an 8 is a winner from word go, but if the other guy has a lot more $ he is still favored to win. Like most folks my duster is the last thing on my priority list for spending (you know, mortgage, taxes, food etc...). Even a crappy 'stang on the bottle could mean trouble for a big-block dart and I have just enough $ for one humble duster. Racing for pinks is a game for rich folks and guys like me are best advised to stay off of the track. Must be nice to have "disposable hot rods"!

My $0.02 -LY

im with ya with all of the money us married guys have to fork over every month PLUS having kids!!!!...BUT,id STILL like to build a CHEAP mopar on spray and with my talent of gab,id have a shot.
i found a 77 volare all done except for motor and tranny for $2,000.00!!!!...put in a cheap 360,reconned crank/rods,GOOD pistons, solid cam, stock J heads with a decent port job, single plane and a 750 carb with a 200 shot of NOS and its a SOLID 10 second ride!!!

get some of the work done for free or at least cost and then put there name/logo on the car for FREE advertising!!!

if you where to build a MOPAR car for the show, what would it be WITH specs.
Go to the old MoPar speed tips section for the 8.90 bracket engine in a fiber glass Duster and call it a hi 12 second car. Then take the Chevy comp by the hair like a dirty lil'***** and.....

how bout a car for pinks from the members of for a bodies only. donations from members with the stipulation being that whoever should win it would sell it on ebay and donate the proceeds to a suitable charity/or do the same with the competitors car should we win ? this would make it cheap for all who want to participate. maybe call the whole deal for a bodies only racing?

Funny you should mention the Volare with the 360, Mikesduster. Lately I've been seeing more of the F-Bodies with small blocks running around. You can get a crappy Aspen or Volare and a 360 out of a van or something and go race. It would be nice to try assuming you have the time/space/$ to do so.

i dont have alot of time and money but id be will to take some time and even put up my complete rebuilt 360 and i have a NICE set of heads...also have a 727 with a 8" 4200 converter.

heres the aspen forsale.

1977 Dodge Aspen Drag Car roller. 12 point cage,Weld rims, set up for a small block. Car ran 9.90's, hasn't been raced in a few years. Priced to sell $2000 Firm!!!! No way you could build a car this cheap. Thanks Eric.

ill try and post a pic

Mike that pink one on Moparts ? Ask him about the front frame rails. Last time he had it listed he said it had rusted frame rails.

I've noticed the last few times I watched that show people were supposed to bring a car that was supposed to run say 12.0's and they ended up bringing in a ringer that ran 11.0's or faster and they of course won and Chris let them get away with it. Not a fair way to do it if you ask me. If your gonna do it might as well play dirty and say it's a second slower than it is or build a car that runs a second quicker than what they tell you to bring.

I would be willing to donate a little cash if you guys put something together. I haven't watched pinks but a few times but I dont think the ones I saw were 12 second cars. More like 10's
