Building a front spoiler... need opinions

I am working on upgrading my radiator and while I wait for parts I thought I might build a front spoiler. I want to force as much air through the radiator as I can.

So, I mocked it up with cardboard and kind of liked it. So, I started cutting some steel and test fitted it before I did any welding.

I can't roll my car any further back so, this is the best angle that I can get at the moment.

To be honest... I kinda really hate the way it looks. Does anyone else think it looks like a cow catcher?

Although it might be functional it isn't very fashionable. I say leave it off.

Try spoiler by randy. That or make one that goes from fender to fender

I wouldn't want one rigidly attached / welded on either.
Newer cars scoop their air off the road and many don't have a grille opening at all. Thye have sand all over the engine too.
Years ago my brother asked, "Recon I could put spark plugs in the 'stang ( 92 model ) with the few tools I have ?" My answer, "Not without compressed air." Then I proceeded to explain, sand enters cylinders.

the outer edges are too big. i think if you tapered the outside edges down about 40% it would dramatically improve the look without sacrificing function. But like mentioned above. expect a filthy engine bay.

Rather than a front spoiler, I suggest you fabricate some aluminum to channel all of the air entering your grille through the radiator. Block off the gaps both above and below the grille opening.
JMO, but I think this approach will be both more efficient and better looking.
