my friend has a steering column from a '75 chry cordoba (c body). it needs gone thru but is floor shift and tilt. i am goin 4 speed on my '75 scamp and am wondering if this would work on my car or what i will need to do to make it work? it is free if i can use it. i want tilt and want to get rid of my column shifter stuff but would i be getting in over my head?

Do you have some fabrication skills? Are you crafty and very mechanically inclined. I'm guessing you should expect to shorten the shaft, modify the dash to column bracket, modify firewall bracket, cut and move the lower bearing, possibly install a U-joint at the end... Mabye not all of that, but you should have the skills and equiptment ready for stuff like that.

I've heard of someome wanting to but those late 70s B-body tilt colunm shift. I'm sure he had a way to make them work for earlier B, E, and or A -bodies. Don't know exactly how. And I'm sure he wasn't going to show everyone.
